Nellie - cat friendly

Nellie DOB: 10/02/2012 Rockhampton – Cat friendly Hi, my name is Nellie. I’m nearly 6 years old and I’ve taken this time to perfect my “smooch” factor. If you’re looking for a greyhound to love you and always want to be around and even pushed right up against you, I’m your girl. I’m currently living with another nearly 6yr old greyhound girl, we get along great. Though, I do steal a lot of her pats, but she lets me. I’m also putting up with a 10wk old greyhound puppy. I sometimes rumble at her (not really growl – unless she won’t stop biting my ears… then sometimes I have to let her know to leave me alone). I’m also living with two cats who sometimes walk over my head if I’m trying to sleep. At first I was interested in them, but they’re sharp – I learnt that quickly! I don’t mind being left alone, I don’t fret. But, I am very happy to have someone around at all times too. I don’t need to have other animals around me to be happy. I will be a happy only-pet if this is the case, though, I’m happy to be with others too. I love going out for adventures and I love swimming. I’m great around all other dogs when meeting them. I’m a very smiley greyhound, you have never seen a happier face than mine, and I can even lift my lips to show you my smile if you’re REALLY lucky! Most of the time I just have happy greyhound face! I can be transported to the perfect home. Please apply to adopt via our website. http://www.greyhoundsnewbeginnings.org.au/adoption-equiry-form/ Greyhounds are gentle, affectionate, lazy dogs that make wonderful companions for adults and children. They make great pets as although they are the fastest dogs, they are often also described as the laziest! They are truly 70Kmh coach potatoes! They require minimal exercise, one 15 minute walk a day is more than enough for these hounds. Remember, they are sprinters, not marathon runners. Greyhounds can happily spend most of their day asleep. The adoption fee is $375 which includes desexing, vaccination and microchipping. We will bring the greyhound to you for a meet and greet and to assess if your property is suitable for a greyhound.
