Aurora - senior's Story

Aurora is looking for a home, she is 9 years young. This little sweetheart is still looking for her forever home, she has been in foster care with me since Australia Day and has captured my heart very quickly. Aurora has so much love to give and she likes to greet you with a kiss and a cuddle, no one would know this little Miss turns 9 today as she acts like a puppy, she still zooms around and loves her beach trips. She had never seen the beach in her previous racing and breeding life, but it’s now her favourite outing with her other greyhound friends. Rora, as I call her for short likes to steal shoes and socks and play with them in the backyard, she never destroys them, she just likes to relocate them to a place that she thinks is best for them. This little baby girl would make the perfect addition to anyone who would like a snuggle bunny greyhound. I must admit it is going to be very hard to part with her after having her for so long, Aurora has been on a bit of a journey with me through many ups and downs. Aurora will be an absolute delight to anyone wanting to adopt a devoted hound. To my beautiful baby girl and I’m so proud and happy to be your foster carer, you have bought so much joy to my life you little sweetheart. I love you with all my heart and hope you find your forever home soon you little cutie pie. There will be roast chicken and steak for dinner tonight for your birthday. Lots of love and kisses from your foster Mum Buffy and your greyhound friends, Ziggy, Jack Jack, Willow and Winston.

Greyhounds are gentle, affectionate, lazy dogs that make wonderful companions for adults and children. They make great pets as although they are the fastest dogs, they are often also described as the laziest! They are truly 70Kmh coach potatoes! They require minimal exercise, one 15 minute walk a day is more than enough for these hounds. Remember, they are sprinters, not marathon runners. Greyhounds can happily spend most of their day asleep.

The adoption fee is $300 which includes desexing, vaccination and microchipping. We will bring the greyhound to you for a meet and greet and to assess if your property is suitable for a greyhound.
